Team Trialists. Are we meeting up for bacon butties at the Horn like last year? Think we got there about 08:45. Its only 45 mins from the Horn to Monzie?

Interest in the karting is building up. (6 so far) I'll ask at the next trial after the briefing. I think 10+ is enough to get it going, then I'll call my contact and see if he'll do us a deal. A reminder - it's a chance to go wheel to wheel with your normal nemisis during the trials, no excuses or claims of dodgy card punching - they have lap timers, so no hiding place.......

Anyone up for an end of season wheel to wheel challenge at Boyndie kart trackby Banff? Set up with a 3 heats and at least 1 final for each driver in karts that are a considerable step up from the carnival ones. It's pricey at 60 quid each, but knowing some folks up there I'm sure I can squeeze a deal if we get some decent numbers. I guarantee you'll have fun, and you'll be head to head with your normal oponents from a trial without excuses....

Good news. My bike was recovered last night via the sterling efforts of Dave "Sherlock Holmes" Hale. The police were useless/uninterested, even when told where the bike was, so Dave and I went to their house last night and brought her home.

Big thanks to Dave who went way beyond the call of duty to help out somebody he'd never even met before!

Andy - stick all the info on Trials Central website in the stolen bikes forum, you could also try the Moray Coast Motorcycle Club website? No harm in trying but unfortunately there's never many success stories in recovering stolen off-road machinery :( If my son isn't riding the next trial at Bourtie you're welcome to borrow my spare GasGas for the day (assuming the parts arrive to fix it)?

I was looking forward to making a fool of myself at Lumsden, but had to talk to the police instead. Is there any other local group or people I should inform about the theft of the bike?

Just a quick thanks to ross, john and derek for helping fix my bike yesterday so could finish trial.
Thought It was a great trial with some challenging sections Well done to the guys that set it out.

I was meant to be heading to Lumsden this morning to take part in my first trials event. Unfortunately I woke up to find my bike stolen off the back of my car. My own stupid fault for loading it last night rather than leaving it in the garage....I'm sure it will be miles away by now, but just in case they try to flog it around here it's a 2010 Beta Evo 4RT. The only unusual thing on the bike is a 10mm hole in the tip of the rear mudguard that I use to attach the bike's number plate.

Alford Extreme Enduro, yes please, I'd like a go at that before i get too old.

Everyone is more than welcome to have a practice at my place on saturday (small pratice area with naturalish obstacles). Not much further up the road from Lumsden (Keith) if you're willing to travel? E-mail me - gjlewis68(at)hotmail.com for directions.

Every Sunday in June has a national trial on that I was keen to avoid clashing with, the same is the case in September. I understand Saturday events don't suit everyone and they're not particularly easy to set out, I'm open to suggestions.
